The Children’s Ranch and Petting Corral will be closed temporarily in order to address an ongoing issue with the brick flooring. Anyone who has visited the area has probably noticed buckling sidewalks and bricks popping out of place. This has been a problem since the first days of opening the exhibit, and it’s a problem we cannot permanently solve while the space is filled with people and animals. We are addressing the issue promptly and will re-open as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding.
Brush the goats, pet the donkeys and meet the pigs at the Fort Worth Zoo's newest addition, the Toyota Children's Ranch and Petting Corral. This exhibit features an expanded area for children (and adults!) to get up close to and share space with animals, including goats and sheep. Guests also have the opportunity to meet and pet many other Texas farm animals, including miniature donkeys, pigs, a longhorn calf, chickens, snakes, and more, all while learning about these animals and how to care for them. The Toyota Children's Ranch will also have goat brushing, regular keeper chats and demonstrations and an area for children to mine for gems and fossils. This up close and interactive experience is one you won't want to miss!
The Toyota Children's Ranch and Petting Corral is located in Texas Wild! and is open daily during normal Zoo operating hours at no additional cost. Be sure to come by and say "howdy" to your favorite farm animals during your next visit to the Fort Worth Zoo! Here are some animals that you might see:
