Get ready to waddle your way down the Zoo's main path, because the Fort Worth Zoo is "Back in Black" with the return of penguins!

The 1,600-square-foot exhibit gives the penguins plenty of room to swim and waddle. A large underwater viewing window will allow guests to watch these flightless birds do their "flying" underwater. The rocky beach area mimics the penguins’ coastal island native habitat. The penguins can lounge on the beach area, which includes nesting burrows. The Zoo hopes to breed the penguins in the future.

The 11th annual Fort Worth Zoo Run Run is scheduled for Saturday, April 19. If you liked last year's 10K addition to the Zoo Run Run, you'll love it this year, too! Come run WILD with us and make a difference in wildlife conservation. Proceeds from the event support conservation efforts for animals that need your help. Other activities include a live animal presentation, music, awards and more!
