No, that's the Mambo. The mamba is a snake found in Eastern and Southern Africa. At the Fort Worth Zoo, you'll see the green mamba, Dendroaspis angusticeps, which is one of the three green species of mamba. Though usually timid, this snake is a very agile climber with highly toxic venom and a bite that can often prove fatal unless treatment is quickly administered. Its diet in the wild consists of birds and lizards. Juveniles are typically a bluish green color. An adult can reach lengths of nearly 6 feet. That's a long dance … err, we mean, snake!
