Run Wild for Wildlife

Make a difference in wildlife conservation! Every year, proceeds from Zoo Run support the Zoo's conservation efforts around the world. This year's Zoo Run will include another Party for the Planet the Association of Zoos and Aquarium's (AZA) national Earth Day celebration. Come raise money for wildlife, learn about conservation and celebrate a healthier planet with the Fort Worth Zoo.

Party for the Planet activities will be centered around a Kid's Zone full of fun entertainment, including "green" living education and animal, enrichment and conservation information with creative coloring opportunities and much more!

Entry Fees

Individual School Groups (K-12) Teams	$20 per person, $25 after April 2, $30 on Race Day $16 per person, 10 person minimum by April 2 $18 per person, 5 person minimum by April 2
Zoo members receive a $2 discount!

School Groups

School Groups (K-12)

Minimum of 10 people per school group. All members must sign up and run the same race.
All forms for each runner must be submitted at the same time by Friday, April 2. No exceptions! Team captains may register the team online at active.com, where each member can then submit their individual information. Or, team captains may print off a registration form by Clicking Here and submit all registration forms at one time.
Runners registering after April 2 must register as individuals.
List runners in alphabetical order, last name first.
Include contact information for designated team captain.
All packets must be picked up at Fort Worth Running Company or on Race Day.

Teams

Race Information and Guidelines

Early registration guarantees a Zoo ticket, a race bag with a T-shirt, and a timing device, if desired. T-shirt sizes based upon availability.
Race bags, T-shirts and timing devices are not guaranteed if you register on Race Day.
Races include a timed 10K, a timed 5K, a 5K Fun Run (untimed) and a 1-mile Fun Run.
Must be 12+ years of age to compete in the Timed 10K.
The 10K course closes after 1 hour and 30 minutes and the 5K course closes after 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Strollers are only allowed in the 5K Fun Run and the 1-Mile Fun Run.
No pets, bicycles or in-line skates allowed.
Fort Worth Zoo is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Race participants must park at the Zoo's main parking lot via Forest Park Boulevard. Colonial Parkway will be closed to all thru traffic.
Please allow 45 minutes for parking.
As a Party for the Planet celebration, Zoo Run encourages participants to go green and carpool with friends and family, if possible.

Awards

PLEASE NOTE: Competitive awards will only be given to timed participants in the 10K and the 5K. Must be 12+ years of age to compete in the 10K. The 10K course will close after 1 hour and 30 minutes and the 5K course will close after 1 hour and 15 minutes for timing and safety purposes.

10K and 5K Awards
Masters and Overall for male and female:
Top three male and female finishers in the following age categories: 12-13, 14-16, 17-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+

The largest school group and largest team will receive an award.

Timing

ChampionChip timing services will be used to score all events. Timing tags are only guaranteed to those participants who register prior to Race Day. These tags, worn directly on the bib number, must be worn to receive an official time.
