Dear Beastro fans,
We are sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but due to the impact of COVID-19, Beastro 2021 is canceled.
The annual music and tasting event is a wild success year after year thanks in part to our local restaurants, vendors and wild party animals like you. Through your support, we’re able to raise funds for conservation and education efforts both locally and abroad. We had hoped to continue the tradition of hosting Beastro this year, but as COVID-19 continues to impact our community, especially the food and beverage industry, we’re choosing to skip the party this year and return stronger than ever in 2022.
If you’re dining out and about these days, we suggest you check out our loyal Beastro restaurants for your next meal.
Each year, it costs approximately $1 million to feed our collection of nearly 7,000 animals. That’s a lot of mouths, beaks and bills to feed! Your general donation – no matter the size – will contribute to the care and feeding of all of the Zoo’s residents. Some examples of how your dollars may be spent:
- $25 can feed 30 adult Texas horned lizards for a day
- $50 can feed Rosie the penguin chick for two months
- $75 could provide training treats for one elephant for a week
- $100 could provide the giraffe herd with 400 sprigs of acacia leaves
Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to partying together with you next year in 2022!
