Dedication of Resources

The Fort Worth Zoo dedicates staff time, resources and financial support to projects locally and around the world. In recent years, the Zoo spent $9.8 million toward education, conservation and animal care, including work on behalf of the following:

  • Birds
  • Bongos
  • Bonobos
  • Crocodilians
  • Elephants
  • Iguanas
  • Lizards
  • Rhinoceroses
  • Turtles and Tortoises

Fort Worth Zoo staff coordinates or supports conservation projects in more than 30 countries around the world. The Zoo is committed to ongoing efforts to help conserve the world’s diversity. Fort Worth Zoo staff worked in the following locations in recent years:
