Fort Worth Zoo’s Beastro offers wild night on the town

Tenth annual tasting and music event features music from Emerald City, The Project and Live 80
FORT WORTH, Texas – The Fort Worth Zoo’s 10th annual tasting and music event, Beastro, takes place Friday, May 20, 2016, from 7:30 p.m. to midnight. In addition to sample appetizers, entrees and desserts from restaurants all over the metroplex, as well as open bars throughout the park, Beastro will feature music from Emerald City, The Project and Live 80. Proceeds from the event support the Zoo’s local and international wildlife conservation and education efforts.
The Zoo’s outreach animals will greet partygoers as they enter the event. The Zoo will feature Wild Encounters keeper chats at select exhibit until dusk while guests dine on delectables from more than 35 restaurants.
General admission Beastro tickets are $99 (Zoo members save $10) and include all food, drinks and entertainment. Tickets are available for purchase online at fortworthzoo.org through noon on Friday, May 20. The Zoo’s onsite box office will open at 6 p.m. the day of the event with a limited number of tickets available for $110.
To date, first-time participating restaurants include: Acre Distilling & Coffee Co., Bird Cafe, Bombay Street Food, Craftwork Coffee Co., The Dive Oyster Bar, Duffey’s Kolache Bakery, Fixture-Kitchen and Social Lounge, FunkyTown Donuts, MASH’D, Press Cafe and Taco Heads.
To date, returning participating restaurants include: Bonnell’s Restaurant Group, Bravo!, Campisi’s Fort Worth, The Capital Grille, Cast Iron at the Omni Fort Worth Hotel, Central Market, Eddie V’s Prime Seafood, Fletcher’s Corny Dogs, Gypsy Scoops, HG Sply Co, Kona Ice, Lee’s Grilled Cheese, Mariposa’s Latin Kitchen, MAX’S Wine Dive, My Sweet Roots, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Pegaso Mexican Diner, Pizza Snob, Raising Cane’s, Rodeo Goat, Terra Mediterranean Grill, Texas de Brazil, Tiff’s Treats Cookie Delivery and Winslow’s Wine Café. Attire for Beastro is summer chic, and comfortable shoes are highly recommended, as the event requires walking throughout the Zoo. All guests must be at least 21 years old to attend, no exceptions.
