Scouts

The Fort Worth Zoo is the perfect place for your scout adventure!

Did you know that the Fort Worth Zoo is more than lions, tigers and bears? The Zoo offers programming on animals, plants, habitats, the outdoors, our environment and much more. We can help your troop earn a variety of journey awards, badges and fun patches. Programming and events are designed just for your troop. If you have a smaller troop, why not invite another troop to join you for a “Buddy” event at the Zoo.

We welcome scout groups of any level:

  • Girl Scouts: Brownie through Ambassadors
  • Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts
  • YMCA groups
  • Heritage Scouts
  • Trail Scouts

Be sure to plan early and save your spot!

Please note that all Fort Worth Zoo overnights require a minimum of 15 participants.

Overnight activities include a craft, live animal and biofact presentation, scavenger hunt, morning Zoo hike and all-day Zoo admission the following day. A pizza dinner, light evening snack and continental breakfast will be included. One adult chaperone is required for every six scouts.
