Spring Break at the Zoo - what to know before you go

Spring break, March 12 through March 20, is a popular time to visit the Zoo. To make sure your visit is all you’ve ever dreamed, we’ve laid out some insider tips to help you prepare.

Zoo Hours:
Monday through Friday - 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday through Sunday - 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Purchasing tickets online is highly encouraged! During spring break, ticket booth lines will be longer than normal. Plus, when you buy online, you can save $1 per ticket.

Allow extra time for traffic and parking. Carpool if you can! Designated Fort Worth police officers will be onsite directing traffic. Follow the flow of traffic and direction from the officers and we’ll get you in as quickly as possible. Skip the driving and consider riding the Safari Xpress.

Did you know you can pack a picnic? Small coolers and outside food and drink are permitted inside the park. We just ask that you do not bring in glass, alcohol or disposable lids and straws.

Guests are not required to wear masks while visiting the Zoo, regardless of vaccination status. We do encourage guests who feel more comfortable wearing masks during their visit to do so.
