Today marks the beginning of Zookeeper Week, kickstarted by the American Association of Zoo Keepers as a weeklong celebration of the animal keeper’s role as educators and wildlife ambassadors. This year’s theme includes highlighting how great animal care and conservation efforts require teamwork – and we couldn’t agree more. At the Fort Worth Zoo, we’re proud of the incredible care we are able to provide for our animals, and it’s all because of the high-caliber of animal staff who works here. Thank you to our Zookeepers and all of our staff for continuing to make Fort Worth a Top 5 Zoo in the nation!
To celebrate National Zookeeper Week, we asked a few of our campers what the best thing is that zookeepers do - and well, they weren't wrong.
