Interested in wildlife photography? Take your best shot at the Fort Worth Zoo!
Professional and amateur photographers alike can register for a Fort Worth Zoo Photo Safari session. Each session provides participants the opportunity to capture Zoo animals exhibiting natural behaviors. The sessions are held from 8:45 to 10:45 a.m. In addition to a unique photo opportunity, each session includes coffee, expert information about your photo subjects by a zookeeper and all-day admission to the Zoo. Photographers must be at least 16 years old and supply their own equipment. Session size is limited. (Minimum class size required for class to take place.)
Full Day Photo Safari offers more photo opportunities, shooting scenarios, and more detailed instruction. A boxed catered lunch is provided for participants. A representative from Fort Worth Camera will be there to answer questions and assist with the day's activities. The sessions are held from 8:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Macro Photography Class
The Fort Worth Zoo is offering a unique chance for photographers that enjoy macro photography! Come join us as we photograph the details of multiple species of animals. Whether you have a macro lens or just want to photograph animals up close and personal, all photographers are welcome. The group will venture to our MOLA building to capture the morning fog as the Gharials glide across their exhibit and then warm up focusing on the reptiles and amphibians indoors! Coffee will be provided. Monopods or tripods are recommended.
Date: Jan. 27
Time: 9 - 11 a.m.
Price: $40 for non-Zoo member; $36 for Zoo members
