Celebrate Valentine's Day Your Way
Whether love is in the air or far, far behind you this Valentine's Day - look no further than the Fort Worth Zoo for the perfect (and meaningful) gift. Animal adoption is sure to bring joy to that special someone while supporting the quality care and conservation efforts we value so much. With packages starting at $40, animal adopters receive a stuffed animal, adoption certificate, photos and fact sheet about the animal.
New this year - the Love Stinks adoption. A perfect gift for the friend who could use a V-day pick-me-up or a unique way to show your love to the “little stinker” in your life, this all-new package features an adorable plush skunk. Proceeds from this adoption go to the care and feeding of the Zoo’s animals – like Pepper, a striped skunk who's a member of the Zoo’s Animal Outreach team.
As an added perk, everyone who buys a Galentine's or Valentine's ticket will be entered to win a one-of-a-kind painting from Kristen Soble, whose artistic talents can be seen throughout the Zoo’s new African Savanna. Kristen will be on hand each night to craft this painting during the party.
Order by noon on Feb. 10 to ensure delivery by Feb. 14. Orders may still be placed after Feb. 10 but we cannot guarantee delivery by Feb. 14. Packages are always available for pick up at the Zoo's administration building (Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.).

Galentine's Party and Valentine's Dinner FAQ
Are there going to be REAL animals at the event? I really want to pet/cuddle with/hug/kiss all of the animals. Can I do any of those things at the party?
Yes, there will be REAL cool creatures at the Valentine’s dinner. No, you may not pet/cuddle/hug/kiss any of them. They are only to be handled by Fort Worth Zoo animal staff. Keep reading to learn how you’ll be able to (safely) interact with the animals.
What will the animals be doing at the event?
The Zoo’s outreach animals will be mingling with guests at the beginning of the party. as well as posing for photo ops with our photographer. Get your hashtags ready.
What will I be doing at the Valentine’s dinner?
In addition to the meet-and-greet with our animals, you can have your photo taken with your sweetie, as well as enjoy an interactive game. As always, we’ll treat you to delicious food and adult beverages.
What will I be doing at the Galentine’s event?
In addition to the meet-and-greet and photo ops, we have some animal-themed interactive comedic entertainment planned. Know a girlfriend who’s super competitive? Yeah, bring her. That’s all we’re saying.
You’ll also have an opportunity to “plant a new seed” with our build-your-own-succulent-garden station. These hearty plants have a thick root system, require little water and are pest-averse, so unlike the love fern, they won’t die.
Throughout the event we’ll be treating you to delicious hors d’oeuvres, an open bar and a chocolatey dessert buffet. You’ll conclude the evening by taking home your very own “Love Stinks” adoption package, complete with a huggable skunk plush, representing the animals who will be fed and cared for by the proceeds of this event.
My date and I want to sit with our friends at the Valentine's Dinner. Can you arrange for us to be seated together?
Yes, we can. When you purchase your tickets, you will have the opportunity to enter the names of the people with whom you’d like to be seated. Be sure to get tickets early, historically, our Valentine’s Dinner events sell out every year.
What about Galentine's - I want to sit with my friends. Can you arrange that?
This event is designed with mingling in mind, so there are several different open-seating arrangements. If you’re part of a larger group, we recommend you arrive a few minutes early to allow time to park and walk in the doors when the event starts to claim your spots. And be sure everyone purchases their tickets ASAP – we expect this event to sell out.
Does everyone have to be 21?
Because there's alcohol, as well as some light-hearted adult content, both events are for guests ages 21 and older, no exceptions. Thank you for your interest – put us on the calendar for in the future!
What is the attire for the Valentine’ Dinner?
Please consider “after-five” attire. For example, this might be a dress or slacks and a blouse for ladies, and slacks and a button-down or collared shirt for men.
What about Galentine’s attire?
You know that outfit you’ve been dying to wear but haven’t had the occasion? This is that occasion. Whether you’re looking to rock some fierce heeled boots or a feminine cocktail dress, we say go for it. (Just keep in mind that this is an “after-five” event, so save the sweatpants for the afterparty.)
The person I was planning on attending this party with just bailed/I have the flu/I want that high you can only get when canceling plans and you get to stay home in your pajamas and watch Netflix. Can you refund my tickets?
Sorry, all ticket sales are final and non-refundable. You may donate your tickets back to the Zoo as a partial charitable contribution.
