Valentine Party FAQs

Are there going to be REAL animals at the event? I really want to pet/cuddle with/hug/kiss all of the animals. Can I do any of those things at the party?
Yes, there will be REAL cool creatures at the Valentine’s events. No, you may not pet/cuddle/hug/kiss any of them. They are only to be handled by Fort Worth Zoo animal staff. Keep reading to learn how you’ll be able to (safely) interact with the animals.

What will the animals be doing at the event?
The Zoo’s outreach animals will be mingling with guests at the beginning of the party. as well as posing for photo ops with our photographer. Get your hashtags ready.

Who can participate in the Father-Daughter Dance?
Fathers, or father-figures, and their daughter(s) are invited to come to the dance.

What will we be doing at the Father-Daughter Dance?
In addition to the meet-and-greet with our animals, you can have your photo taken with your daughter, enjoy music by a DJ, dance games and light refreshments.

What will I be doing at the Valentine’s Dinner?
In addition to the meet-and-greet with our animals, you can have your photo taken with your sweetie, as well as enjoy an interactive game. As always, we’ll treat you to a delicious three-course meal and adult beverages.

What will I be doing at the Galentine’s Party?
In addition to the meet-and-greet and photo ops, we have some animal-themed interactive comedic entertainment planned. Have a girlfriend who’s super competitive? Yeah, bring her. That’s all we’re saying. Throughout the event, we’ll be treating you to delicious hors d’oeuvres, an open bar and a chocolatey dessert buffet. You’ll conclude the evening by taking home your very own Valentine adoption package, complete with a huggable plush.

My date and I want to sit with our friends at the Valentine's Dinner. Can you arrange for us to be seated together?
Yes, we can. When you purchase your tickets, you will have the opportunity to enter the names of the people with whom you’d like to be seated. Be sure to get tickets early, as historically, our Valentine’s Dinner events sell out every year.

What about Galentine's? I want to sit with my friends – can you arrange that?
This event is designed with mingling in mind, so there are several different open-seating arrangements. If you’re part of a larger group, we recommend you arrive a few minutes early to allow time to park and walk in the doors when the event starts to claim your spots. And be sure everyone purchases their tickets ASAP – we expect this event to sell out.

Does everyone have to be 21?
Because there's alcohol, as well as some light-hearted adult content, the Valentine’s Dinners and Galentine’s Party are for guests ages 21 and older, no exceptions. Thank you for your interest – put us on the calendar for in the future!

What is the attire for the Father-Daughter Dance?
Please consider “after-five” attire. For example, this might be a dress, or slacks and a blouse for ladies, and slacks and a button-down or collared shirt for men.

What is the attire for the Valentine’ Dinner?

What about Galentine’s attire?
You know that outfit you’ve been dying to wear but haven’t had the occasion? This is that occasion. Whether you’re looking to rock some fierce heeled boots or a feminine cocktail dress, we say go for it. (Just keep in mind that this is an “after-five” event, so save the sweatpants for the afterparty.)

The person I was planning on attending this party with just bailed/I have the flu/I want that high you can only get when canceling plans and you get to stay home in your pajamas and watch Netflix. Can you refund my tickets?
Unfortunately, all ticket sales are final and non-refundable. You may donate your tickets back to the Zoo as a partial charitable contribution.
